'I Have Been The Most Settled This Year' - Tomori Enjoying Life Under Chelsea Legend
Published: March 05, 2019Fikayo Tomori is delighted with the progress he has made at Championship club Derby County under the tutelage of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
The England U21 star has 40 appearances under his belt this campaign, logging 3,540 minutes and only defensive partner Richard Keogh who has figured in 42 matches has played more games than him.
Prior to Tomori's loan move to The Rams, the central defender featured in 37 first-team games cumulatively for Chelsea, Brighton & Hove and Hull City.
Speaking to the official website of Derby County ahead of tonight's clash vs Wigan Athletic, Tomori said : ''This year has been a year that I have been the most settled.
''I have felt confident going into every game and we, as a team, are in a good position.''
On his defensive partner Keogh, he said : ''If I can have as good a career as him then I will be very happy. Learning from him and having him as my partner in most of the games this season, it has been a good experience.''
A UEFA Youth League winner with Chelsea in 2015 and 2016, Tomori has played against Premier League opponents Southampton, Brighton, Manchester United and his parent club in Cup matches this season.
