Fikayo Tomori Receives High Praise From Chelsea And England Legend
Published: April 08, 2019Chelsea and England legend Frank Lampard has spoken highly of Fikayo Tomori following the central defender's impressive performances since joining Derby County on loan last August.
Tomori has appeared in 37 league matches for The Rams this season and only defensive partner Richard Keogh has played more games than the England U21 star in the Championship.
The Nigeria Football Federation target has also impressed for the Young Lions ahead of the U21 EURO, picking up the man of the match award in his last game against Poland.
''His progression this year has been incredible,'' Lampard told Derby County's official website.
''From when he came in, he was a good young player anyway, but you can see how pivotal he has been in our team. He has grown from within and I’ve enjoyed working with him day to day.
''He wants to learn and improve his game but all the attributes he has, he is using them. ''
