Apart from the issue of bribery,
on one or two occasions at a team meal in the evening, the foreign-born
players were shell-shocked over the fact that the Flying Eagles coaches
freely joked about the Nigerian-born players' ages.
Some
of the Nigerian-born players admitted that they were playing with their
'football ages', the foreign-born players were surprised this could
happen in 2019 and they should not celebrate if they win the World Cup
in Poland.
The Nigerian-born players kept
asking the foreign-born ones if the ages stated on their passports were
their real ages which amused them.
