Abraham Leads Aston Villa Attack To Grab Premier League Ticket Against Tomori's Derby County
Tammy Abraham and his on loan club Aston Villa on Monday picked up a promotion ticket to the English Premier League for the 2019/2020 season with a 2-1 win over Derby County that paraded another England youth international with Nigerian heritage Fikayo Tomori.

Both players were in action for 90 minutes and gave good accounts of themselves.

Abraham picked the ball up on the edge of the box before looking to bend his right-footed effort inside the far post with Keogh backing off. The striker's effort is close, but just curled wide to the left of Roos’ goal.

Ghazi gave Villa the lead in the 44th minute as he nodded home a cross by Egyptian defender Ahmed Elmohamady.

Two minutes into the second half Abraham skipped past Tom Huddlestone before being fouled from behind by Bennett who received a yellow card.

In the 58th minute Abraham darted to the right side of Villa's attack and  was fed the ball by Jack Grealish, but fellow Nigerian by blood  FikayoTomori who is on loan from Chelsea made an excellent sliding tackle to deny the Villa striker just inside the penalty area.

A minute later Villa doubled their lead through John McGinn. Derby goalkeeper Kelle Roos had rushed out of his line out to claim a looping ball but misjudged its flight as McGinn got on his way to nod it into the open goal.

Derby County grabbed a goal and a lifeline in the 81st minute through Jack Marriot.

Seven minutes of added time was awarded but Villa held their nerves despite a late rally by Derby to score a decisive second goal.
