Highly-Rated Liverpool Striker Not Interested In Representing Nigeria For Now
Published: June 10, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that highly-rated Liverpool striker Rinsola Babajide has turned down an opportunity to represent the Super Falcons.
The 20-year-old is one of the most promising players in the Women's Super League and it's not surprising that the Nigerian Federation had attempted to woo her, having followed her progress since 2016.
That same year, Babajide showed off her goalscoring ability by netting fourteen goals for the University of East London women’s football team in their 40-0 thrashing of University College, London.
She has been sounded about the possibility of changing her international allegiance from England to Nigeria and her answer was negative as she fancies her chance of being a Lioness.
Babajide turned out for England U19 team before she was promoted to the U20s and was part of the squad that finished third at the 2018 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
The former Crystal Palace, Millwall Lionesses and Watford starlet received her first call up to England's U21 team in November 2018.
