Meet 21-Year-Old Manchester City Defender Of Nigerian Descent Who Could Benefit From Kompany's Departure
Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo made his first-team debut for the Citizens in 2016 but couldn't add to his eight appearances for the team due to intense competition from well-known defenders.

After Adarabioyo's professional debut, Pep Guardiola was appointed coach and the Spaniard added some top-class defenders to his team which further pushed the England youth international down the pecking order.

Jone Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Nicolás Otamendi and Vincent Kompany were ahead of him at the Etihad Stadium and he was eventually loaned to West Brom till the end of the 2018-2019 season.

His spell with the Baggies was an unforgettable one as he helped them to a playoffs spot, though his efforts weren't enough to help the team gain promotion to the Premier League next season.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany's departure now presents Adarabioyo with an opportunity to be part of Guardiola's team next season.

It was confirmed that the inspirational captain has resumed his post as Anderlecht's  player/manager, thereby creating a vacuum that must be occupied by capable defender as soon as possible.

As much as Guardiola won't mind splashing a huge amount of money to get another centre-back in the ongoing transfer window, the former Barcelona boss could turn his attention to the 21-year-old defender who has all the potentials to become a better defender under his tutelage.

However, Adarabioyo will need to see off competitions from established players during the pre-season if he must win Guardiola's trust in his search for Vincent Kompany's replacement.
