NFF Committee Will Meet Today To Investigate Golden Eaglets MRI Scandal; 36 Lion Boss Accuses NFF
Published: June 24, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands the Nigeria Football Federation have set up a committee to look into the six players purportedly wrongly disqualified by Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) before the Golden Eaglets trip to Tanzania for the 2019 Africa U17 Nations Cup.
The Committee which is headed by NFF Deputy General Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme will sit on Monday by 1400 hours to discuss the allegations before making recommendations to the Federation.
36 Lion boss CEO Liameed Olawale Gafar, who is not in good terms with 1st Vice-President of Nigeria Football Federation Seyi Akinwunmi, has accused the NFF of tampering with the results of one of his players, Azeez Oseni and claims the midfielder was victimized and cleverly dropped from the Golden Eaglets squad.
Gafar has pointed accusing fingers at the Golden Eaglets medical team, the team coordinator Prince Udofia and a staff of the NFF whose name he will make public in due cause.
The 36 Lion supremo conducted two additional MRI tests at the same hospital where the Nigerian Federation conducted theirs and it was discovered that Oseni didn't beat the mark and shouldn't have been dropped.
Nigeria U17 coaches Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade were contacted and they claimed to be unaware that the MRI results were tampered with.
