'Cameroon Is A Good Side With Technical Players' - Ndidi Wary Of Lions Despite Toothless Attack
Published: July 06, 2019Cameroon have struggled to score goals at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations but Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi is not reading too much into that as he believes the Indomitable Lions are a good side with tactical discipline.
Though they have problems in attack, the defending champions have the best defensive record in the tournament, with goalkeeper André Onana yet to concede in three matches.
''Cameroon is a good side, very difficult, good physique and they have technical players, it is going to be a good one,'' Ndidi told the Super Eagles Media team.
''Sometimes I think the big teams are more easier to play with than other countries.
''Sometimes I think the big teams are more easier to play with than other countries.
''Other countries, we might belittle them but these big teams so many tactical discipline will be in the game so I think it will be a good one''.
The Leicester City midfielder acknowledged that the Super Eagles were having a good tournament until they were brought back down to earth by Madagascar.
''It has been good, I would have said it has been amazing but the last game was not so good so I'd just say it has been up and down but the atmosphere alone has been good,'' Ndidi added.
If Nigeria beat Cameroon, they would face the winner of the game between Egypt and South Africa in the quarterfinal of the competition.
