Published: July 15, 2019Three-time African champions Nigeria suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Algeria in the semifinal of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday evening after Riyad Mahrez scored a stunning added time free-kick to secure a win for Algeria.

Oghenekaro Etebo, Djamel Benlamri and Bennacer won the most fouls (5 each), while Ighalo committed five fouls, more than any other player.
Of the 22 players that started the game, Aissa Mandi had the highest pass completion rate with 92.2 percent. Chukwueze was the Super Eagles top player with a passing accuracy of 91.3 percent.
Omeruo recorded a game-high 57 passes, ahead of Ndidi (55) and Troost-Ekong (54).
