Jamilu Collins, Moses Simon Reactions To Super Eagles Victory Against Tunisia
Published: July 18, 2019Levante winger Moses Simon and SC Paderborn 07 fullback Jamilu Collins believe that the Super Eagles put a smile on the faces of their fans in the wake of their 1-0 victory against Tunisia at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Manager Gernot Rohr had confidence in the winger during the tournament, handing him a run-out in five games and the same goes for the left-back who went the distance in the last three games after recovering from injury.
''We didn't go through from the semifinals to the finals, we tried to play our best today to make our fans and our people back home to be proud of us by getting this bronze medal for them so it is something of joy,'' Collins told reporters in the mixed zone on Wednesday evening.
''We tried to put a smile on their faces, at least we went with something for them, we are happy''.
