Hot Prospect Saka In Arsenal Squad For Showcase Friendly Against Barcelona
Published: August 04, 2019Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka has traveled with the Arsenal first teamers to Spain for a showcase friendly against European giants Barcelona on Sunday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Saka was spotted inside the plane heading to Barcelona this morning and is in contention to feature against the Spanish champions.
The 17-year-old trained with the Gunners first team this past week, having missed the friendlies against Olympique Lyonnais and Angers SCO.
Everyone is convinced of Saka's talents now after starring in pre-season matches against Colorado Rapids, Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and Real Madrid, and it is all but confirmed that he will add to his first team appearances for the Gunners in the new season especially in Cup matches.
An England U19 international with an impressive 3 goals in 6 games, he is making a case for himself to be promoted to the England U20 squad, something that is bound to happen sooner or later.
There's a possibility that Saka could join the likes of Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina to switch his allegiance to Nigeria after playing for England youth.
