Dynamo Moscow, Besiktas, Verona Interested In Watford's Nigeria-Eligible Striker
Published: August 23, 2019Stefano Okaka has been linked with a departure from Vicarage Road before the transfer window closes in Europe with three teams credited with an interest in the Nigeria-eligible striker.
Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio writes on his website that Dynamo Moscow are working on a deal to sign Okaka, and in the coming hours representatives of the Russian Premier League club will meet with Carlo Okaka, who is the brother and agent of the striker, to thrash out a deal.
Dynamo Moscow have proposed loaning Okaka for the 2019-2020 season with a purchase option included.
The Russians face competition from Besiktas and Hellas Verona for the services of the 30-year-old attacker.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Udinese, playing 16 games and scoring 6 goals.
Speculation is rife that Okaka is surplus to requirements at the Hornets as he was left out of the match day squad for their first two Premier League matches in the new season.
Born in Castiglione del Lago, Italy, Okaka has four caps for Italy's national team but remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles.
