The English Premier League entered match day three fixtures on Friday, and here is a wrap up on how Nigeria players performed for their respective clubs.

We begin with Friday's encounter involving Everton and Aston Villa at the Villa Park Stadium where Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi made his debut for the Toffees.

He was introduced into the game in the 63rd minute and struck the woodwork, but couldn't find a breakthrough as it ended 2-0 in favor of Aston Villa.

On Saturday, Leon Balogun wasn't included in Graham Potters' squad for the game against Southampton at the Amex Stadium. It ended 2-0 in favor of the Saints.

We head straight to the Bramall Lane where Premier League newcomers Sheffield United played host to Leicester City.

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were left out of Brendan Rodgers matchday squad, with the former suffering from hamstring injury.

Goals from Jamie Vardy and Barnes gave the Foxes a 2-1 victory over the home team.

At Vicarage Road, Watford lost 3-1 to West Ham, but Isaac Success and summer signing Tom Dele-Bashiru weren't included in Javi Gracia's match day squad.

Finally, Chelsea recorded their first victory of the season, thanks to a brace from Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham who broke his Chelsea drought.

His compatriot, Fikayo Tomori was an unused substitute throughout the entire game.

In the late kickoff, exciting winger Bukayo Saka was not in the Arsenal 18 beaten 3-1 by Liverpool at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah scored two goals after Joel Matip had opened the scoring for the home team; Lucas Torreira netted what proved to be a consolation goal for the visitors with five minutes left on the clock.
