Nashville SC Midfielder Akinyode Open To Representing Nigeria
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Nashville SC star Bolu Akinyode is open to representing the Nigeria National Team.

Born in Lagos to Nigerian parents, the United States Soccer Federation are aware of the potential of the central midfielder and invited him to an U20 training camp in 2012.

A product of the New York Red Bulls Academy, Akinyode's playing style has been likened to that of Super Eagles star John Ogu but he is more technical and intelligent.

What makes the 25-year-old special is that he has an amazing left foot, he is blessed with ball winning and tackling skills and has the ability to drive forward from midfield in the mould of Yaya Toure.

Akinyode also has leadership qualities and was appointed captain of New York Red Bulls Academy U16 team during his time with the club.

The former NJ-LUSO Parma, Bethlehem Steel FC and North Carolina FC ace can be considered an important player for Nashville SC, having started 41 games across two seasons.
