Gareth Southgate Reveals Nigeria Target Abraham Remains On England Radar
Published: August 30, 2019England boss Gareth Southgate has revealed that Tammy Abraham remains in his plans despite the Chelsea striker's omission from the latest Three Lions roster announced on Thursday afternoon.
The Nigeria Football Federation target had an outstanding season last term, scoring 26 goals for Aston Villa as they secured promotion to the Premier League.
Abraham is improving as a player this season and netted his first pair of goals for Chelsea in their last league match against Norwich City.
There is a lot of competition in attack in the England squad and Southgate went for Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and
Callum Wilson for the European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Asked at Thursday's press conference if Abraham was close to his thoughts before announcing the squad list, Southgate answered : ''Tammy is one of a number of players who have either started the season well or we know well through our junior teams.
''This squad can look very different over the next few months and there is, as I said, in every position real competition and we need that''.
Tammy Abraham has earned two caps for England's senior team, against Germany and Brazil in November 2017.
