Messi Vs Ronaldo Debate : Lokomotiv Moscow's Idowu To Choose The Better Player After Facing Juventus
Published: August 30, 2019Nigeria international Brian Idowu has reacted to Thursday's Champions League draw that will see his team Lokomotiv Moscow face Juventus, Atlético Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen in Group D.
The defender was in the Super Eagles side beaten 2-1 by Lionel Messi's Argentina in last year's World Cup and he's relishing the prospect of facing Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Idowu says he will select the better of the two players after Lokomotiv Moscow meet Juventus in back-to-back games on October 22 and November 6.
Speaking to the official website of Lokomotiv Moscow, Idowu said : ''The group is very cool. It will be difficult to get out of it, so you need to make every effort.
''I already played against Messi, now I want to play against Ronaldo. Well, after that I’ll go write a book: ''Who is better- Ronaldo or Messi''.
Last season, Idowu made three starts for Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League and they finished last in their group after losing five matches.
