Bordeaux's Samuel Kalu Is Player With Most Shots Without Scoring In Ligue 1

According to stats from Whoscored.com, Samuel Kalu is the player with the most shots yet to score a goal in the French top-flight in the current season.

The Nigeria national-teamer has played ten shots without finding the back of the net in four Ligue 1 appearances.

Leicester City's James Maddison (15), Levante's Rubén Rochina (13), Fiorentina's Federico Chiesa (13) and Eintracht Frankfurt's Filip Kostić (10) have taken the most shots in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga respectively without getting on the scoresheet.

Kalu ended last season with a paltry 3 goals in 21 appearances in Ligue 1 and set up three goals in 1,280 minutes of play.

The Bordeaux number 10 has provided one assist this season in his team's 2-0 win against Dijon on August 24.

He has been included in the latest Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendly against Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena.
