The Reason Why Onyekuru, Three Super Eagles Stars Have Withdrawn From Squad Vs Ukraine
Published: September 05, 2019Monaco newbie Henry Onyekuru is the latest player to withdraw from the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly against Ukraine.
Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi, Leganes' Kenneth Omeruo and Benfica's Tyronne Ebuehi earlier pulled out of the squad.
Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye has been contacted to provide an explanation as to why the aforementioned players were excused from international duty ahead of the match against Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena on September 10.
''Ebuehi is out because he is not back to full fitness, he is still recuperating. Onyekuru and Omeruo are out because of work permit,'' said Ibitoye to allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Ndidi was excused because he recently had a hamstring injury although he played last weekend but there is no need stressing him.''
