Brazilian-Born Star On Target As Ukraine Warm Up For Nigeria Clash With Big Win Vs Lithuania
The Ukraine national team warmed up for their friendly with Nigeria with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Lithuania in a European Championship qualifier on Saturday evening at the LFF Stadium.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Marlos scored in the 7th and 27th minute respectively while Ruslan Malinovsky added a second half strike to earn Andriy Shevchenko's team their fourth win of the qualifiers.

In the provisional standings in Group B, Ukraine lead the way with 13 points followed by Luxembourg, who have a game in hand, with four points.

Shevchenko started with four defenders Vitalii Mykolenko, Mykola Matviyenko, Sergey Krivtsov and Sergiy Bolbat, while the three-man midfield contained Oleksandr Zinchenko, Taras Stepanenko and Ruslan Malinovsky.

Gent's Roman Yaremchuk started in attack and was flanked by West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko and FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian-born winger Marlos, who scored the second goal.

Tuesday's meeting at the Dnipro Arena is the first ever game between the senior national teams of Ukraine and Nigeria.
