Talented Huddersfield Town Striker Gets Maiden Nigeria Call-Up

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that promising Huddersfield Town striker Andre Silveira Edionhon has received a maiden call-up to the Nigeria squad ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Through a letter dated September 9 with reference number NFF/GEN/TECH/210/VOL.IV, the Nigeria Football Federation have contacted the Terriers requesting for the release of Edionhon for the Nigeria U17 Men's Team.

The 2003-born player has been selected to attend the Nigeria U17s team camp, which is scheduled to hold in Istanbul, Turkey from 20th to 27th September, 2019.

He is in contention to make his debut for the Golden Eaglets at the UEFA/CAF Assist Tournament this month.

Born in Greenwich, London, the attacker is also eligible to turn out for England's youth teams but he has committed his international future to Nigeria.

Edionhon played for Lambeth Tigers before joining Huddersfield Town as a first-year scholar in July 2019.
