6 Losses Since 2018: Bad Omen As Super Eagles To Wear Green Jersey In Friendly Vs Ukraine
The Super Eagles players will wear their deep green away kits in Tuesday evening's friendly against Ukraine.

At the traditional pre-match meeting, the Super Eagles outfield players chose to wear the green jersey while the goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Maduka Okoye and Ikechukwu Ezenwa will play in purple.

Nigeria's opponents, Ukraine will be wearing white outfits for today's game at the Dnipro Arena.

Since the start of 2018, the Super Eagles have lost six matches wearing the green kit and the jersey has been labelled 'unlucky' by majority of the Nigeria supporters.

Nigeria lost 1-0 to Czech Republic in a pre-World Cup friendly in June 2018 wearing the all-green strip, before they were beaten by Croatia and Argentina at the World Cup.

In 2019, the Gernot Rohr-led team have lost three matches to Senegal (friendly), Madagascar and Algeria (both AFCON) and they were dressed in green in all the games.

During the period under review, Nigeria beat Poland, Libya and Egypt 1-0 wearing the green jersey.
