 The Best FIFA Awards How Nigeria Voted : Musa, Rohr, Media Disagree Over Choice Of Best Player
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr, captain Ahmed Musa and a representative of the Nigerian media Christian Okpara participated in the voting for The Best FIFA Football Awards main prize - Men's Player.

The voting breakdown published by FIFA showed that Musa picked Lionel Messi, who eventually won the award, as the top player in the world, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

Rohr, who also has a French passport, gave his first vote to PSG striker Kylian Mbappé, his second went to Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk while Real Madrid's Eden Hazard placed third on his list.

Nigeria's media representative, Christian Okpara chose Sadio Mane to win the award, while Cristiano Ronaldo was ranked behind Virgil van Dijk.

For the Women's Player Award, Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby picked Megan Rapinoe, Henry Amandine and Ertz Julie in that order, while ex-captain Desire Oparanozie ranked Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Sam Kerr first, second and third respectively.

The media representative, Okpara opted for Megan Rapinoe, Wendie Renard and Alex Morgan.

Megan Rapinoe (Reign FC) won the award ahead of Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride) and Lucy Bronze (Olympique Lyonnais).
