Nantes' Simon, Crotone's Simy, Debrecen's Adeniji, MAIF's Omoh Score For Euro Clubs
Published: October 05, 2019Round up of the Nigerian players that were on target for their European clubs in league matches on October 5.
Out of favour Nigeria international Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo took his tally for the season to four goals in the league alone thanks to his brace for Crotone in a 3-1 win against Virtus Entella in the Italian Serie B.
The lanky striker opened the scoring in the 27th minute and got his second goal of the game seven minutes before half-time.
In the French Ligue 1, Moses Simon's winning goal in the 86th minute was enough for Nantes to claim all three points against Nice at Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau. He subbed out in injury time.
Michael Omoh scored in the 85th minute to give Mjallby AIF a 3-1 lead in a Swedish Superettan clash against Oster. It was his second goal for the club he joined in the summer transfer window.
Elsewhere, Tunde Adeniji's 29th minute goal counted for nothing as Debrecen lost 2-1 to Fehérvár in a game week eight Hungarian NBI match staged at MOL Aréna Sosto.
