Former Chelsea Coach Mourinho Runs The Rule Over Lille Striker Victor Osimhen Vs Nimes
Published: October 06, 2019Former Chelsea and Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho was among the spectators as Lille and Nimes shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday, October 6.
Lille informed via their official Twitter account that the highly respected Portuguese coach was present at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Villeneuve d'Ascq) to watch the game week nine fixture.
Mourinho is presently unemployed following his departure from Manchester United in December 2018 and this is not the first time he has watched a game involving Lille as he was also at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy last season.
Nigeria international Victor Osimhen must have impressed Mourinho after picking up the Man of the Match award.
The 20-year-old rescued a draw for Christophe Galtier's side with 11 minutes left on the clock, taking his tally to seven goals from nine appearances in the league.
Osimhen's other goal this season was against Mourinho's former club, Chelsea in the Champions League on October 2.
Given his rich vein of form, he will lead the Super Eagles attack when they face Brazil next weekend, barring an injury.
