Rohr Identifies Two Key Attributes Of Super Eagles New Star Joe Aribo
Published: October 15, 2019Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo was one of the most brilliant players on show in Nigeria's 1-1 draw with Brazil on Sunday and manager Gernot Rohr has chipped in the two key attributes of the player and what the team are lucky to have him bring to the team.
Aribo has carried his scintillating club form into the international sphere for Nigeria, scoring on his debut versus Ukraine while also grabbing another cracking goal against the Sëleçao on Sunday.
His general play in the middle of the park reeked of astuteness and precision and watching his boss possession and carry the ball with grace even with the presence of players the likes of Casemiro, Coutinho and Arthur Melo surely got many praising him.
However his team manager has revealed that the fitness and speed of the player touted to be installed as Mikel Obi's replacement are his best attributes he brings for the young squad at his disposal.
"We have a very young team, younger than what we had at AFCON. Joe Aribo is one of players bringing his fitness and speed into the team. His left foot is technically interesting for us in the midfield," Rohr said.
The 23-year-old has firmly put behind his head injury worries and could be set to continue his impressive performances for his club when they tackle Hearts in their Premiership game on Sunday.
