Top Five Nigerian Exports To Watch Out For This Weekend
Published: October 16, 2019Club football hostilities will return in few days time after an adventurous international break which saw Nigeria's Super Eagles emerge with credit in their 1-1 draw with five-time world champions Brazil.
While it promises to be successful outings for Nigerians plying their trade abroad as always, we will look at five of these ones to keep an eye on with their teams,
Victor Osimhen (Lille): Lille and Osimhen travel to Toulouse on Saturday for a very important Ligue 1 clash and the Super Eagles striker will be pivotal to his team earning the points.
While Les Dogues who are placed fifth with fifteen points on the division log could move into the top three with a victory here, Osimhen will be aiming to continue his rich vein of form by netting in three successive games this month for the club.
Dennis Bonaventure (Club Brugge): He might not have gotten enough minutes in the glamour friendly versus Brazil but Dennis is surely one of Brugge's influential players.
On Friday, he and his teammates will be away to Royal Excel Mouscron at the Stade Le Canonnier in a Belgian First Division game and Dennis is yet another on this list gunning for a third consecutive goal this October.
Joe Aribo (Rangers): Aribo has emerged as one of the most important players for Stephen Gerrard's Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, and rightly so due to his industry and creativity in the middle of the park.
Fresh from impressing for the national team in the glamour friendly with Brazil, the player will be aiming to help his side pick up all three points versus Hearts on Sunday, thus maintaining their position at the top of the table.
Semi Ajayi (West Brom): Ajayi came away with plaudits for a composed and disciplined showing in the rear for the Super Eagles and might have caused many to sit up and take notice.
West Brom sit atop the standings of the English Championship, much thanks to the defensive solidity the Nigerian has formed alongside Kyle Bartley.
They are away to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday as Ajayi's banner season looks to continue.
Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal): A bag of tricks and flicks against the Sëleçao, Chukwueze would play yet his part for Villarreal when they play Espanyol in Cornella in search of their fourth win of the league season.
So far, the 20-year-old has played seven league games for the Yellow Submarine this term, scoring twice and laying on two others.
