Super Eagles Star Mikel Named In Vitória S.C Matchday Squad Against Arsenal

Nigeria international Mikel Agu is in contention to play his third straight game for Vitória de Guimarães in the Europa League on Thursday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The Portuguese setup on Wednesday departed for London and Mikel was included in the traveling party.

With three goalkeepers part of the 19-man travel roster, it is one hundred percent confirmed that the Super Eagles star will be included in the matchday squad against Arsenal, barring an injury in the warm up.

Mikel is competing with Al Musrati, Pepê, Poha and André Almeida for one of the starting spots in midfield.

Having missed the start of the season due to injury, the former Porto man has been involved in the last six games played by Vitória de Guimarães in the Primeira Liga and Europa League.

Arsenal will all but qualify for the knockout rounds of the Europa League with a win against their visitors from Portugal.
