West Ham Goalkeeping Coach Tips Jinadu To Start For Nigeria Against Hungary U17
West Ham's first-team goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero is backing Daniel Jinadu to be in goal for Nigeria when they begin group play at the FIFA U17 World Cup against Hungary on Saturday, October 26.

Jinadu is battling Bournemouth's Joseph Oluwabusola and Football College Abuja's Sunday Stephen for a starting spot and as things stand, manager Manu Garba is keeping his cards close to his chest as regards to the top player in his pecking order of goalkeepers.

Should Jinadu start against the Hungarians, he could face his teammate at West Ham, Krisztian Hegyi.

''Krisztian  is the regular No1 for Hungary, and Daniel has been selected as one of three goalkeepers for Nigeria,'' Valero said to West Ham's official website.

''I think Daniel has a chance to start for Nigeria, especially in the first game of the group against Hungary.

''That will be the Krisztian Hegyi vs Daniel Jinadu game and if that happens, it’ll be great news for the Academy and for the Club.''

A former England U15 and U16 goalkeeper, Jinadu made his international debut for Nigeria against Japan on October 20.
