Real Madrid Monitoring Nigeria U17 Star At World Cup Ahead Of Potential Transfer
Published: October 28, 2019According to celebrated Spanish sports daily AS, European giants Real Madrid are tracking Nigeria U17 international Samson Tijani at the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup ahead of a potential transfer.
The deep-lying playmaker is one of seven wonderkids Los Blancos will monitor during the tournament in Brazil, the others being Matías Palacios (Argentina, San Lorenzo), Talles Magno (Brazil, Vasco da Gama), Naci ünüvar (Netherlands, Ajax), Adil Aouchiche (France, PSG), Johan Mina (Ecuador, Emelec) and Fernando Ovelar (Paraguay, Cerro Porteño).
Two other Spanish La Liga clubs in the shape of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have sent their representatives to run the rule over the Golden Eaglets stars, the newspaper reported.
If Tijani continues to deliver impressive performances in Brazil, Real Madrid believe he is a player they can afford so long as other top European teams do not express interest in his signature.
Having said that, allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that the Golden Eaglets number 4 is on the radar of Manchester City as well as unnamed clubs in Russia and Belgium.
Tijani was the star of the show as Nigeria came from behind to beat Hungary 4-2 in their World Cup opener on Saturday.
