U17 World Cup : Four Takeaways From Nigeria U17s Win Against Ecuador
Izuchukwu Okosi here highlights four takeaways from the hard fought 3-2 win over Ecuador by Nigeria's Golden Eaglets in their second Group B match.

1. Defensive Sloppiness

The Golden Eaglets defenders have been guilty of giving out possessions at critical times in the game. The left and right backs have come short of this and that is what the coaching crew must work on before the Eaglets play against tougher sides.

2. Wisdom Ubani Must Start Scoring

Nigeria's star striker at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations which confirmed Nigeria's participation at the World Cup Wisdom Ubani has not lived up to pre-World Cup expectations.

The striker was substituted off in the 30th minute and he was by no means pleased by that decision. Hopefully that motivates him to shine against Australia on Friday.

3. Amoo Is Creative Spark Of The Eaglets

Akinkunmi Amoo came off the bench just like in the game against Hungary on Saturday and troubled Ecuador's defenders creating chances for his teammates.

Ibrahim Said profited from such moments of magic to score two more goals in the second half in addition to his first half goal.

4. Team Of Scorers

One good thing noted about the Golden Eaglets is the fact that they do not depend on a particular player to deliver the goals.

Against Hungary on Saturday, Samson Tijani, Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi and Usman Ibrahim scored; on Tuesday it was Ibrahim Said and it could yet be another scorers  on Friday which  is good to have in a team.

This puts teams guessing and unsure which players to mark out since the goals are spread across the Nigerian side.
