Atiemwen On The Bench As Wolves, Juventus, Bayern Scouts Watch Dinamo Zagreb Teammates Vs Shakhtar Donetsk
Published: November 07, 2019Former Nigeria U23 invitee Iyayi Believe Atiemwen missed an opportunity to show off his skills to top European clubs when his team Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk played out a six-goal thriller in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The versatile winger was named in the matchday squad for the contest at the Stadion Maksimir but remained on the bench for the entirety of the game.
According to the official list of scouts published,Wolverhampton Wanderers and former Champions League winners Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borrusia Dortmund and AC Milan sent their representatives to the stadium.
Real Betis, Zenit, Real Sociedad, Schalke 04, Lille and Reims talents spotters were also in the stands to run the rule over Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk players.
Of the ten matches played by Dinamo in this season's Champions League including the qualifying rounds, Atiemwen has figured in three, coming off the bench against Rosenborg BK (2) and Manchester City .
The 24-year-old has contributed to ten goals (5 goals, 5 assists) since transferring to Dinamo from HNK Gorica in January 2019.
