Babajide's Brace Powers Liverpool Past Durham In WSL Cup
Nigeria-eligible striker Rinsola Babajide turned on the style for Liverpool Ladies in their Women Super League Cup 3-1 win on Wednesday evening, scoring twice against Durham FC at Prenton Park.

The youngster took only eight minutes to open the scoring for her side when she found space on the edge of the box to let fly a stunning left-footed shot which nestled in the back of the net.

She would then double the advantage in the 37th minute when she pounced on a Christie Murray's set piece to beat Megan Borthwick again.

Niamh Charles added a third for the hosts just before the break to render Molly Sharpe's effort for Durham in the second period scant consolation.

The goals took her haul in the tournament to three, having found the net in previous encounters against Durham and Blackburn Rovers.

Liverpool are back in action on Sunday when they face Chelsea in a Women Super League game, and the former Millwall Lionesses and Crystal Palace Ladies striker will be looking to open her league account.
