Former Premier League Players Ideye & Akpom Score In Consecutive Matches Again For Greek Clubs
Nigerian strikers Brown Ideye and Chuba Akpom have both scored for the second consecutive match for their respective Greek clubs, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Ideye returned to Greece in June after a difficult time in China with Tianjin Teda and he is nearing his best form in terms of goalscoring, with his brace on Thursday taking his tally to 4 goals from his last six matches in the Super League.

It took the former Nigeria international less than 13 minutes to open the scoring in Aris's 4-0 rout of Volos NFC and the former West Brom man made it 2-0 in the 24th minute.

This is not the first time Ideye has managed to score in consecutive matches this term as he was on target against Panathinaikos and PAOK on matchday three and four respectively.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's Hale End Academy product Chuba Akpom returned to PAOK's starting line-up for the first time in ten games as they registered a 2-0 road win against Panionios at the Stadio Néas Smírnis in Athens.

In the 62nd minute, Akpom scored a goal that practically secured PAOK their eleventh win of the season.

The 24-year-old came off the bench to score and provide an assist in the penultimate round of matches against Panetolikos last weekend.

Just as Ideye did, Akpom had scored in back-to-back matches in September 2019.
