Manchester United's Nigerian trio of Dillon Hoogerwerf, Shola Shoretire and Deji Sotona were at their offensive bests for the club's U-17s in a 9-1 walloping of PSV Eindhoven in a friendly encounter on Friday, December 20.

The trio started for the young Red Devils while the Dutch team were without former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Noni Madueke who has been promoted to the U19 squad.

Hoogerwerf continued his impressive goal scoring run in recent weeks, helping himself to a treble while Shoretire also scored a hat-trick against the Dutch club.

Sotona joined the goal party with a brace of his own while their teammate Iqbal Zidane got the other goal that completed the rout.

Netherlands U17 international Hoogerwerf has scored seven competitive goals for Manchester United's teams since the start of this season while both of Shoretire and Sotona have two apiece to their names.

Manchester United's U-23 and U-18 teams have closed out their calendar for the year 2019, and are not back in competitive action until January 6th and 18th respectively.
