Box-To-Box Midfielder Anjorin Close To Agreeing New Deal With Chelsea
English-born youngster of Nigerian descent, Faustino Anjorin is close to agreeing a new contract with Chelsea, according to reports.

The Athletic says The Blues are eager to tie Anjorin down to a new contract and talks are progressing well.

Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori, Billy Glamour, Marc Guehi and Reece James have all extended their contracts with Chelsea since the end of last season, with Anjorin and Ian Maatsen set to follow suit.

An England U19 international, Anjorin has been promoted to first team training by manager Frank Lampard several times this season, having shown his quality for the youth teams.

The box-to-box midfielder would go on to make his professional debut in a League Cup clash against Grimsby Town last September, playing the last 23 minutes in a 7-1 win.

In the summer of 2018, he signed a scholarship deal before inking his first professional contract with Chelsea just after his seventeenth birthday.

Anjorin is among seven exciting young players on the shortlist for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for January 2020.
