Arsenal Goal Of The Month : Brazilian Jewel Beats Bukayo Saka To Award

Brazilian jewel Gabriel Martinelli has won Arsenal's Goal of the Month for January 2020, informs Arsenal's official website, arsenal.com.

The Brazil U23 international finished first in the poll ahead of Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka while Jordan Nobbs was third.

Martinelli received 60 percent of the votes cast and his main rival Saka finished second with nine percent of the vote.

The 18-year-old South American was named Arsenal's Player of the Month for January, with Saka in third place.

The Hale End Academy product was nominated for the Goal of the Month for his strike against Bournemouth in which he finished off a team move involving Arsenal's ten outfield players and with 22 passes in the build up to the goal.

The second Nigeria-eligible player shortlisted for Arsenal's Goal of the Month was Folarin Balogun.

Saka's other goals for the Gunners this season came in Europa League matches against Eintracht Frankfurt and Standard Liege.
