Arsenal's Next Big Thing Saka Makes Three Different Teams Of The Week; U21, EPL & European
Published: February 19, 2020Versatile Anglo-Nigerian starlet Bukayo Saka has been named in three different Teams of the Week by football statistics website Whoscored.com following his outstanding performance for Arsenal in their 4-0 rout of Newcastle United in a Premier League match on Sunday, February 16.
Saka was selected in the Premier League, European and U21 Team of the Weeks with a rating of 8.4 and deployed in his new left-back position.
Against Newcastle United, the Hale End Academy product set up the second goal scored by Nicolas Pepe with an audacious nutmeg before pulling the ball back for the Ivorian to slot home.
Saka finished the match with one tackle, one interception and one clearance, but it is the attacking aspect of his game that caught the eye with a game-high six dribbles and joint-game high two fouls won.
The 18-year-old played two shots, made one key pass and was accurate in 90.7 percent of his passes.
Saka has registered eight assists in all competitions so far this season, more than any other Arsenal player.
