Manchester United Goalkeeper Signs New Contract
Promising goalkeeper Jacob Carney has been rewarded with a new deal by English Premier League side Manchester United.

The teenager has taken to social media to announce that he has signed his first professional contract with The Red Devils.

"Proud to sign my first professional contract with Manchester United. Thank you to my family and coaches for all their support," Carney posted on Twitter on Tuesday evening.

Carney was promoted to first team training by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when the squad traveled to Portugal for winter training at Marbella Football Centre back in February.

The young glovesman enjoyed a loan spell at Northern Premier League Division One South East club Stocksbridge Park Steels in the first two months of the 2019-2020 campaign.

He has made one appearance for Manchester United U23s in the Premier League 2 this season, against Norwich City in January, and was an unused substitute on four occasions.
