Super Eagles Midfielder Tipped To Join Brentford But On One Condition
Published: January 21, 2021According to our colleagues at Tipsbladet making reference to Nordic Bet, Nigeria international Frank Onyeka is being tipped to join Brentford in the summer transfer window but on one condition.
FC Midtjylland retained Onyeka in their ranks for the 2020-2021 season due to their participation in this season's Champions League but there's a gentleman's agreement in place that will allow the holding midfielder depart the current Danish champions in the summer.
The plan is for Onyeka to join Brentford if they are promoted to the English Premier League and FC Midtjylland are in line to pocket 13.4 million euros transfer fee if the deal goes through.
Other European clubs including Stuttgart are interested in signing Onyeka, however, his dream is to play in the Premier League, putting Brentford in pole position for his services.
Brentford are currently sat third in the Championship with 44 points but have played a game less than Swansea City who occupy the last automatic promotion berth.
Since his arrival at Midtjylland from partner club FC Ebedei, Onyeka has scored 15 goals in 102 first team appearances.
