'Not someone who wants to dictate' - Eguavoen says some kind words about Super Eagles winger
Slavia Prague winger Peter Olayinka has been hailed for his professionalism by his interim national team coach Augustine Eguavoen.

Olayinka was one of the players handed late call-ups to the Super Eagles' 2021 Africa Cup of Nations squad following the withdrawals of Emmanuel Dennis, Leon Balogun, Abdullahi Shehu and Victor Osimhen.

The 26-year-old is on standby for the World Cup playoff matches with Ghana and has assured that he would be available if needed later for the games.

Eguavoen extolled the virtues of Olayinka and is hoping to work with the player in subsequent matches.

"Awoniyi I spoke with as well, even Olayinka who we brought 48 hours before departure before we went to Cameroon, I adore his professionalism," Eguavoen stated.

"Even when I spoke to him he won't be part of this he agreed and said anytime that I call upon him he will be available, these are the kind of people we want to work with.

"He's not someone who wants to dictate".

Slavia Prague have identified Olayinka as a player with leadership traits, handing him the captain's armband for recent games with Fenerbahce and Sparta Prague.

He has directly participated in eleven goals (7 goals, 4 assists) from 29 appearances so far this season.
