2019 Golden Eaglets invitee named in EFL Championship TOTW
Published: March 21, 20222019 Nigeria U17 invitee Malcolm Ebiowei has been named in Whoscored.com's Championship Team of the Week following his outstanding performance for Derby County in their 1-1 draw with Coventry City this past weekend.
Ebiowei had a huge hand in the Rams winning a penalty in the 65th minute when he raced into the penalty area and found Lawrence who was brought down by a Sky Blues defender.
The Arsenal academy product has forced his way into the starting lineup of the Rams, having been named in the starting XI in the last four matches played in the Championship.
Ebiowei was the third best rated player in the Championship Team of the Week at 8.3 and was deployed on the right side of a four-man midfield.
The talented teenager registered an impressive nine dribbles, more than any other player on the pitch, won a game high three fouls for his team and finished with a passing accuracy of 81.1 percent over the course of ninety minutes.
He also contributed defensively, making two tackles and one interception while winning one aerial duel, but gave away a team high two fouls.
Ebiowei picked up the official Man of the Match award for his efforts against Coventry City.
