How the Super Eagles lined up start of 11-a-side training game : Omeruo, Ekong play for same team
The Super Eagles under the guidance of managerĀ  Augustine Eguavoen held their final workout at the National Stadium in Abuja on Wednesday evening before their trip to Ghana for a 2022 World Cup playoff., allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

After the usual jogging and stretching exercises, the Super Eagles caretaker boss split the squad into two groups for a training game.

Eguavoen didn't give much away regarding his starting lineup to face the Black Stars as the two teams were evenly matched on paper.

Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman was on the sidelines being put through his paces at the start of the training game having reported for international duty on Wednesday morning.

For the team wearing bibs, Kiazer Chiefs star Daniel Akpeyi was in goal with a back four made up of Calvin Bassey and Abdullahi Shehu at fullback with Kenneth Omeruo and William Troost-Ekong in the center.

Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka and Akinkunmi Amoo were in midfield and in attack Samuel Chukwueze and Ahmed Musa were the wide players with Odion Ighalo leading the line.

The other team not wearing bibs consisted of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Leon Balogun, Zaidu Sanusi, InnocentĀ  Bonke, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis.

Eguavoen continued to change the players in each team as the training game progressed, with Lookman among those introduced.
