Report : Napoli to demand N54.8b to let Man Utd, Arsenal-linked striker Osimhen leave
Published: April 05, 2022The interest in Victor Osimhen from Premier League clubs won't go away and it has caused Napoli to slap a massive price tag on their record acquisition, according to reports.
Il Corriere dello Sport via Casanapoli.net says Napoli chief De Laurentiis is prepared to part company with the number 9 in the summer but on one condition, provided interested teams meet the Blues' asking price of 120 million euros (approximately N54.8b in Nigerian currency) is met.
Oismhen has been linked with possible moves to Manchester United and Arsenal, while Newcastle United were unsuccessful in their approach to sign the 23-year-old in the January transfer window.
The Nigeria national teamer has impressed since returning from injury, netting six goals in nine Serie A appearances in 2022 and as a result his valuation has gone up, twenty million euros more than he was previously valued by Napoli.
Osimhen is back in Naples after he was granted permission to attend to some personal issues following international duty with the Super Eagles late last month and should be available for selection for the upcoming game against Fiorentina.
The 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner joined Napoli from Lille in exchange for seventy million euros, making him the most expensive African-born player in history.
His contract with the Parthenopeans runs out at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
