Rodgers promotes teenage American-born Anglo-Canadian-Nigerian GK to first team training pre-PSV
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers promoted teenage goalkeeper Chituru Odunze to first team training on Wednesday, a day before their meeting with Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse PSV Eindhoven in the quarterfinal of the Europa Conference League, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Also spotted at the Leicester City Training Ground in the Foxes' final workout were Nigeria internationals Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman.

A fourth Nigeria-eligible player could be on parade at the King Power Stadium tonight as England U21 international Nonso Madueke was involved in PSV's training session in Leicester.

Signed from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019, Odunze has yet to make his first team debut for Leicester City but was a non-playing substitute in both legs of the round of sixteen clash against Rennes in March.

Born in the United States of America, he is eligible to represent Nigeria, Canada and England at international level apart from his country of birth.

The 19-year-old, a United States youth international, has made three appearances for the Foxes development teams this term.

Odunze played for the youth teams of Chelsea and West Ham United before his parents relocated to Canada.
