Celtic icon Bonner reveals what he noticed about Aribo in first half of Rangers' win at Hampden Park
Rangers are through to the final of the Scottish Cup after a 2-1 win over Celtic at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst made one change to the side that defeated Sporting Braga 3-1 in the Europa League on Thursday, with Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo retaining their places in the starting lineup, while Leon Balogun started on the bench.

With twelve minutes remaining, Scott Arfield netted a crucial equaliser three minutes after coming off the bench to replace Aribo, cancelling out Taylor's opener in the process to take the game to extra time.

In the 114th minute, Rangers got the game-winning goal as Celtic center back Starfelt put the ball past his own goalkeeper after Bassey's ball across caused mayhem.

Legendary Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner was pleased with the positional play of Rangers in the opening forty minutes of the contest and singled out Aribo for praise as he revealed what he noticed about the Nigerian.

However, the Super Eagles number 10 received the first caution of the game at minute 36 when he used his arms to haul Celtic captain Callum McGregor down.

Speaking on BBC SportSound : "The positional play of Rangers has been excellent. Ramsey is almost an inside-right, stopping Taylor getting on the ball.

"Aribo is high up on McGregor, stopping him influencing the game. The game has been too quick for Tom Rogic so far."

Rangers will face Hearts in the Scottish Cup showpiece on May 21, 2022.
