La Repubblica claims N44b-rated Super Eagles star has received 'offer from Man Utd'
Published: April 28, 2022Italian newspaper La Repubblica, (via Napolipiu) has made an exciting claim that Victor Osimhen has received an offer from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are reportedly in the preliminary stages of talks to sign the Nigeria international this summer.
An offer of 100 million euros (approximately N44b in Nigerian currency) was presented to the president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis and it has been claimed that it came from Manchester United.
Osimhen, his agent Roberto Calenda and Aurelio De Laurentiis, held a secret meeting at Castel Volturno on Wednesday to discuss the offer.
The Super Eagles number 9 has also been linked with Arsenal and if it comes to a bidding war, the Gunners could lose out to the Old Trafford outfit, whose record transfer is the 105m euros paid for Paul Pogba in 2016.
Osimhen has scored sixteen goals this season, sparking interest from top clubs in the Premier League and La Liga.
The 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner could become the second Nigerian-born footballer to play for Manchester United's first team after Odion Ighalo if they can get the deal over the line.
