Published: May 09, 2022Anglo-American-Nigerian center forward Folarin Balogun is back at his parent club Arsenal.
Championship outfit Middlesbrough announced their retained list on Monday and the England U21 international is not among the players retained by Boro.
The loan deals of the Hale Ender and three other players Aaron Connolly, James Lea Siliki and Andraz Sporar have not been extended.
Balogun's season is over as he is not eligible to play for Arsenal in their last three games of the season against Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Everton.
The 20-year-old can not play for Arsenal's development squad in the Premier League 2, with their own season ending on April 29.
For the first time in his career, he departed the Emirates Stadium outfit in search of senior football in January and ended up playing twenty one games in all competitions for Boro, scoring three goals and setting up three others in 1,078 minutes of action.
Middlesbrough were silent on the futures of Uche Ikpeazu and Chuba Akpom, who are currently on loan at Cardiff City and PAOK respectively.
