Balogun involved in Arsenal final training session before visit of Everton
Published: May 21, 2022Folarin Balogun was involved in Arsenal's final workout before their Premier League meeting with Alex Iwobi's Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff put the first team players through their paces at London Colney on Saturday, with Balogun taking part in the session.
For the sake of clarity, the England U21 international is not eligible to feature for Arsenal until next season as his registration is held by Middlesbrough for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season.
Boro announced their retained list twelve days ago and confirmed that Balogun is among four loanees returning to their parent clubs.
The Anglo-American-Nigerian centre-forward has not figured for Arsenal's first team since he started the 5-1 rout of Sunderland in the Carabao Cup four days before Christmas.
And his last appearance for the development squad was against Everton on December 6, 2021.
Arsenal are fifth in the table heading into the final day of the season and are hoping Norwich City do them a favour by beating Tottenham Hotspur to stand a chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
