Erik ten Hag could watch Shoretire vs Eagles as winger is named in Man Utd provisional squad
Published: May 22, 2022Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could potentially run the rule over talented England U19 international of Nigerian descent Shola Shoretire when the Red Devils take on Crystal Palace on the final day of the season this afternoon.
The Dutch football tactician will be in attendance at Selhurst Park in Ralf Rangnick's final game as interim manager of Manchester United.
According to Manchester Evening News, Shoretire has been included in Manchester United's squad for the clash against the Eagles.
The 18-year-old has yet to make his season debut in the Premier League and has been spotted several times training with the first team following the conclusion of the academy season.
With Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho rated as doubtful to face the Eagles, it could open the door for Shoretire to be named in the matchday squad.
The Anglo-Nigerian has recorded four career appearances for Manchester United's first team but has played just once since Rangnick took over as interim coach, against Young Boys in the Champions League back in December.
Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League table and need to match or better West Ham's result against Brighton & Hove in order to qualify for next season's Europa League.
