Osimhen among nine strikers targeted by Arsenal this summer (Full list)
Published: May 24, 2022Napoli star Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with a possible move to Arsenal in the summer.
According to the latest update from The Athletic's James McNicholas and David Ornstein, the Gunners have identified nine players to bolster their strike force in the 2022-2023 campaign, with the Nigeria international making the cut.
Mikel Arteta is an admirer of Gabriel Jesus having worked with him at Manchester City and the Brazil star is at the top of his wish list.
In case Arsenal fail to strike a deal with the Citizens for Jesus, Osimhen is among four strikers in the Serie A being considered, the others being Chelsea academy product Tammy Abraham (AS Roma), Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan) and Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo).
The other strikers on the list of potential targets for the Emirates outfit are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Alexander Isak, Adam Hlozek and Cody Gakpo, the report added.
Osimhen was in brilliant form in the 2021-2022 season, scoring eighteen goals in all competitions and was voted the U23 Best Young Player in the Serie A.
The question is whether Arsenal will be able to meet his asking price, with Napoli valuing their number 9 at an inflated 100 million euros.
